Hello everyone! Marhaban

My name is Sara. I can teach you how to speak, read, and/or write Lebanese, Arabic or American English. I tutor all skill levels to include beginners, intermediate or advanced.

I am Lebanese but I speak American English fluently and without an accent. I received my bachelor's degree in international studies from the University of Michigan. I taught full time at an American school in Kuwait for three years and taught part time at several Canadian Public schools for four years.

With me, you have the choice to learn the Modern Standard Arabic (formal/classic Arabic) or the colloquial Levantine Arabic (the conversational Arabic) of Lebanon.

I have a great passion for teaching and I highly enjoy it. I also have a passion for healthy living and super foods. Who knows, I may even teach you a thing or two about the fabulous and super healthy Lebanese cuisine. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

If I don't need lessons and only want to practice my English, can I talk to you about any subject?
Of Course. Conversations are the best way to practice. Plus I can correct mispronunciations and grammar as you speak. I can also answer any questions that you have during our conversation.

How do I know how many paid hours I have remaining?
I keep track of hours paid and used on my spreadsheet and will let you know during our sessions how many hours you have left.

If we have a 90 minute session do I get charged for 2 hours?
No. I will write down 90 minutes.

If I am unable to answer your Skype or Telephone call, am I charged for the hour?
No, I will not charge any time to your balance for a missed lesson. I understand that unexpected situations arise.

Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you are unable to or no longer wish continue lessons I will calculate the hours used and refund the remaining money to you through PayPal.

Can I do some lessons through Skype and some by telephone?
Yes. It is your choice which method you prefer with each lesson.

Do you offer a free consultation before I pay and start my lessons?
Sorry, unfortunately I do not. I teach people from all around the world. The amount of consultations I would have to do would be overwhelming. I realize I am asking you to take a small leap of faith but feel confident that you will not be disappointed. However, your first lesson is 1 hour and 20 minutes. The extra 20 minutes is to get to know each other, assess your current level and discuss your future language goals.
